▶Nicolás Marín Fumero
Self-taught until age 11; now recording Bach's Well-Tempered Clavier, Books I & II, by age 15.
▶Brandon Goldberg
Continued at The Juilliard School, New York, after mentorship with jazz pianist Bill Charlap.
▶Felipe Diez
Came to piano from the clarinet; continues at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, guided by Ilya Itin and soon Garrick Ohlsson.
▶Luis Urbina
Continued at the Cleveland Institute of Music; now mentors the next generation through the MIPFA Academy.
